The Most Influential Film In All Of History No One Knows About!
Hey there GayBros!
For this week's talk... I'm trying more entertainment than science!
So what gay boys do you think is the most influential film in all of history!
The straights often say Citizen Kane... and his obsession with rosebuds!
While most of us gays know rosebuds aren't for everyone at all!
Maybe you can die content without one! Or not. Its really up to you!
Fin here however thinks the answer could be a bit more... strange!
Ever heard of "Night of the Creeps"?
Because if you haven't.... I guarantee some of your favorite directors have!
Like Boss Whedon! And James Gunn!
Because these foolhardies have a massive wide-on for it!
And there's a reason!
If there ever was an 80s film that defied genres... its "Night of the Creeps"... which knowingly tries to mix all its favorite genres into one terrific comedy horror!
In fact after all the references Marvel has to "Night of the Creeps"... they should just buy it... and remake it with their HUGE budget. But that's what an "Artistic Integrity" Department would be for... if such a thing existed! Mostly because businessmen find it hard to grasp the marketability of an "Integrity" Department at all... but thats only because they never were creative enough to think of it... then advertise it! (And yes remakes can have "Integrity"... especially if no one has seen it!)
But anyways... why do I know that Marvel has a full rosebud on for "Night of the Creeps"!?
(Everyone should take not here of the power of google filter... as i searched freely for such a word.)
Well anyways... they all love "Night of the Creeps".... because of their CONSTANT references to it!
Lets start taking a count with the only director I know of that has his own WWJD variation!
"What Would Joss Whedon Do?"
(Use his head as a trunk!)
Or lift liberally from his favorite films! That's what the best do!
And the worst... lift from their incorrect opinions!
So it goes my friends. So it goes!
So where does Boss Whedon use this massively unknown influence!
Well lets start with that comedicaly named "Chosen One".... Buffy The Vampire Slayer!
The Season One Finale of one of the best action medias ever created has the titular titular character.... fighting to the death... in a prom dress and leather jacket!
Alike so!
Now I don't know if you can quickly run the list of "Female Action Heroes" wearing a prom dress and leather jacket.... but this aspergers case sort of can! And I just cant't find too many others!
Joss Whedon... in love with one of his best ideas... repitched it as a television show. And when he personally wrote the finale to this first season (which means it was in his mind from the start)... he knew he wanted his STAR....to look exactly like the heroine from "Night of the Creeps"!

As gays... we do not get turned off by agressive women.
As we get turned off by them all!
So us nerd gays... can easily see the extreme coolness... of Ellen Ripley, Buffy Summers... and whoever this chick is in "Night of the Creeps!" They are fucking badass!
Or maybe its just actually any humanoid figure holding a "Mr. Pointy" at all!? 0_0
But regardless... I find it cool to know Boss Whedon loves "Night of the Creeps" without ever hearing it directly!
That's what a Netflix subscription can do for you and your lack of hobbies! Now you too... for " Only $15 a month" can have access to ALL OF FILM HISTORY! Without the expensive NYU art degree! (All their degrees!)
Okay so... what about James Gunn now!?
Is he also in love with "Night of the Creeps!?
You tell me!
I think we have a catch!
And even further... while I don't want to spoil the allnon plot of "Night of the Creeps" .... it does involve ALIEN SPACE SLUGS CREATING AN ARMY OF ZOMBIES!
That oddly enough... sounds exactly like... Slither! One of James Gunn's early successes!
Hint: Gayboys... you often have no idea how sexual straight movies are! Because you've been trained to think yourselves as the oddest of oddballs. So let this heterosexual "Creative Genius" field some sexual weirdness for you for awhile... while you take a break and watch a movie that will shock the horror fuck out of you!
If you didn't know... the slugs... under a deep metaphorical analysis.... are "Penii"!

(*To note... as a gay heavily effected by "Gay Eye" ... I have no idea what Slither looks like to the majority! I can't even with a film this subtextual sexual! I literally do not have the lens for it. Oh well... we gays often... as in this case... resort to a kitsch level love of such straight art variety... and you can so do that here easily!)
