The big day arrives. Casey heard a lot of commotion with whooping and vocalizing. He has not been told of the gathering and wonders what his role might be in the proceedings. Is this the time that he is burned at the stake? He shudders to think so.

That night he is dragged out of the tent where they are holding him.

He is set down in the midst of the gathering. The Chiefs begin a dialogue, but Casey doesn't understand what they are talking about.
