Gaius Saturninus fought well in the Gallic Wars, was commended by Caesar, and popular with his comrades of the XIIIth. The wrap up, as expected, was anti-climactic, but at least he had a ruck sack stuffed with silver vessels, some gold jewelry and other sundry looted items to carry back to Rome where he would decomission and resume a new, civilian, life. Of all of the treasures picked up in the burning towns and villages of the North, however, Gaius was most fond of the trio of strong young bucks that were now his personal property. He knew he could sell them in the city for a good price and probably would but, then again...his mind drifted to lazy fantasy. Oh, the things one could do with a few good men...
