What happened next was just a blur for the commander as he felt the beanies take over his head.

At first he tried to fight the orders bouncing around in his head but nothing worked, he couldn't stop them. In the end he just let them take over.

Following the orders he marched out of the base to a small shuttle and took off into the sky.

Once the shuttle settled into its long journey back to the homeworld he pulled off all his kit, apart from the boots, and ejected it from an airlock, leaving himself buck nekkid.

And that is how they found him. Dazed and babbling about "lil animals" invading his mind. How they had gradually learnt to control his troopers and then turn their own weapons against them.

So they executed him.
