Back Where it Started

Once they got close to the college they changed back into their non-hero persona’s as to not attract too much attention. It felt good for them to be normal again. Of course they would need to come up with a dam good story about where they had been and what they were doing during their absence these past months, but they would worry about that later. There were more important things to take care of right now.

As they walked across the park they came to the spot where this all started, right here on this sidewalk, months ago. It brought back some awful memories of pain, hardship and anguish from the near past. Those were the things they didn't want or need to remember. They both wish it had never happened, but in a small way they were glad it did, because after all it opened their eyes to the feeling they had for each other.
