Alone and Unbound

The pair were enjoying the rare moment alone without being tortured. They had been stripped of everything and left naked which actually was a welcome change. It had not happened often over the last several months. They still did not know how their powers were taken from them; they were no closer to find out the answer to that question, much less getting their powers back. One thing is for sure, they had no chance of overpowering the two supervillains. It was almost down to the point of needing a miracle to get their old lives back.

The two of them were still strong both physically and mentally. They knew if they had to endure this for the rest of their loves their bodies would hold out, but it was their minds they worried about. They both wanted to get back what they had before. They wanted to go to school, have their friends and more. They of course still wanted to be heroes and help people; they would never turn their backs on that, it was too important. They had been picked for a reason.

One thing had changed, that was for sure, and they had become closer than ever to each other. Neither one of them brought up the subject, but both were thinking about it. They both cared for each other; it was just a matter of how deep those feeling ran. Was it love? Neither one knew for sure, but maybe in time they would find out.

The two of them were so engrossed in their conversation with each other neither noticed that the old iron maiden that sat in the corner had cracked open.....
